After many years working in both the offshore and inshore survey industry, Managing Director, Alex Richards saw a need for a fully integrated marine survey company able to deliver top quality tailored solutions to the marine support and construction industries. Established in 2005, Insight Marine Projects Ltd has been delivering quality solutions to the marine industry globally and within Cornwall.

The company is ISO 9001:2008 accredited, reflecting its ongoing commitment to providing a professional and quality service. With expert personnel and access to the latest technologies Insight Marine projects Ltd is able to provide a tailored service for each client’s unique requirements.

Insight Marine’s ability to operate safely and precisely in challenging high energy environments has lead to contracts with renewable device developers, including site investigations, installation support, post-construction inspections and cable burial assessments e.g. SeaGen in Strangford Lough, and PowerBuoy in Northern Spain. The growth of the renewable sector is providing many exciting opportunities and Insight Marine Projects is well placed to provide support services to the industry.

Collaborating with PRIMaRE, Insight Marine has just been awarded a fully funded PhD to develop subsea cable detection and burial equipment. The company was also awarded runner up in the 2010 Cornwall Business Awards ‘Best Use of Technology’ category for novel use of wi-fi telemetry in sharing data between anchor handling vessels.
