NCI Technologies is at the forefront of technology growth and its directors believe that being in Cornwall gives them competitive edge.

Directors Andy Trish, Chris Penrose and John Andrew recognised the needs of small to medium sized business to keep abreast of the latest technology to ensure business growth. In 2004 they developed their service proposition to meet this need and have gone from strength to strength.

Cornwall already has 99% broadband coverage. With the county set to roll out super fast broadband over the next few years, it will be the best connected rural economy in Europe, giving the company competitive advantage over other rural areas.

Trish also believes the arrival of Super Fast Broadband in Cornwall will create a “new world” of opportunity for all Cornish based businesses.  “We believe that Super-Fast Broadband will bring a new level of business opportunity to the county.  Increased capacity, speed and reliability will certainly help us at NCI – giving us the ability to compete globally whilst maintaining our Cornish location.

Despite the recession business is good at Cornish based NCI Technologies with offices in Penryn, Plymouth and plans to expand into the US. NCI has now grown into a multi-million pound business and employs 25 people.

Trish also puts this success down to their “quietly brilliant” philosophy which is at the heart of NCI Technologies and forms the focus of all marketing activity. “We don’t spend a lot of time worrying about promoting the NCI brand,” says Trish. “We focus on getting things right for our customers and building our relationship with them. They feel a personal connection and that leads to repeat business.”
