The Aviation Learning Centre, led by the industry is being created to develop further engineering skills both locally and nationally.
A joint venture with the Airport, Lufthansa Resource Technical Training (LRTT) and Newquay for Excellence Training (NfET) has been set up to develop a “learning centre” on site offering aviation entry and maintenance qualifications.
In May 2011 LRTT started an initial academy for 12 engineering apprentice students with the initial modules of the programme being undertaken at NCA. This pilot is being funded from ESF Convergence.
