Newquay Cornwall Airport and Weston Aviation announce a special Olympic offer at EBACE

Newquay Cornwall Airport and Weston Aviation have announced free airport parking for business jets during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Onward connecting flights to London will be available via scheduled services or private aircraft.

This Olympic offer is available to business jets over 10t MTOW. The airport, which has one of the largest runways in the UK (2,744m), is able to accept business jet types of any size (including A330) and has sufficient hard standing space.  Hangarage will be discounted by 50% where required by the aircraft operator (hangarage is available up to BBJ size aircraft) and fuel will be charged at the prevailing rate.

Al Titterington, Newquay Cornwall Airport’s Managing Director commented “We thought the 2012 Olympic Games provided a great opportunity to support corporate and private aviation customers during this busy time.  The airport is less than an hour’s flight from London and our free business jet parking offer will enable people travelling during the Olympic period to have a hassle free experience.”

Newquay Cornwall Airport is the gateway to much of the South West of England.  An hour’s flight from the major business and commercial centres in the UK such as London, Manchester and Edinburgh, it offers something for everyone.  The airport’s westerly and coastal position makes it increasingly popular as a technical stop for transatlantic flights.  Newquay Cornwall Airport can accommodate a range of medium and wide body jets from the VLJs to the heavier jets such as the Airbus ACJ/A319, Boeing BBJ, Embraer Legacy and Bombardier Challenger Series, all of which are now frequent visitors to the airport.  The airport also has over 325 hectares of land available for development, uncongested airspace and one of the longest runways in the country.

Cornwall, the renowned surf capital of England, boasts a stunning coastline, fine beaches, plentiful golf courses, historic sea ports and award winning cuisine, thanks largely to celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver’s sizeable investment in Cornwall.

Weston Aviation currently operates Business Aviation Centres at Newquay Cornwall and Durham Tees Valley Airports.  The company specialises in developing regional airports with their FBO operations; and by working in close partnership with airport management, they have seen significant growth over the past few years.

Both companies are inviting EBACE delegates and media to a drinks reception at stand 569 on Wednesday 18th May at 14:00 and welcome the opportunity to discuss any business further.
